Jaime Belkind-Gerson's installation "Freedom"captures the sense of confinement experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. The work features large bird cages mounted on walls, each containing toy furniture. This evocative setup symbolizes the loss of freedom as everyday life was constrained within the boundaries of our homes.The work also promotes a dialogue about resilience and the human spirit's capacity to adapt and find solace even in the most challenging circumstances.

 

Through this installation, Jaime Belkind-Gerson offers a poignant reminder of the value of freedom and the importance of cherishing and protecting it. The work is currently under development and will be exhibited in 2024.
